Is Your Closet Ready For Spring?

NYFW's Spring 2014 collections from major designers focused on bright colors paired with pastel neutrals and bold prints and textures. As we transition from the brutal NYC winter into the effervescent Spring, it leads me to wonder if everyone's closet is as Spring ready as it should be. Not quite sure if yours is or isn't? Here are a few Spring essentials that are sure to prepare even the most unprepared fashionista (although fashionistas are rarely ever unprepared...helluuurrrr)

Bright Colors
This beautiful orange neoprene strapless dress with a flared skirt is the embodiment of Spring. Neoprene is usually a material used for dresses with a lot of structure so the flare in the skirt shows off how the material can also hold volume. Pair this with matching orange peep toe heels or a bold kiwi green or  banana yellow pump.

 Bold Prints
DVF's Spring 2014 collection featured this masterful mix of prints on a flared tank silhouette that has safari chic written all over it. Pair it with a bright bag and black shoes to draw attention to the dress. To add a little more flare to the outfit try to go bright with the shoes...a nice royal blue pump or orange and tan wedges. Werk!

Texture
There was an audible gasp when Naomi Campbell strutted down our Spring runway in this very same mini dress. The Neapoli, in all-over metallic crochet with a flattering scoop back, is all about impact, from entrance to exit. To make the most of this runway-approved stunner, add sky high heels and a versatile white envelope clutch—and get ready to channel Naomi’s supermodel confidence.
